A collective of 11 performers curated from the streets of New Orleans, each of whom have recorded a track for this first compilation album, Best of Street Volume One! Best of Street is a Louisiana-based social enterprise that gives 90% of the compilation's net proceeds to the musicians featured. Our mission is to discover, celebrate, and empower the best street musicians around the world. We support the artists and our mission via commercial recordings, mobile tipping technology, and brand partnerships that will enable new revenue opportunities while expanding audiences of potential fans. Best of Street and Sojourn Records, in collaboration with the street musicians from New Orleans, have submitted this album for consideration in the category of Best Regional Roots Music Album for the 57th annual Grammyr Awards.
