Ayo is back with Mami Wata, her 7th album. Named after the Nigerian goddess of the sea, this new album focuses on water, the main inspiration for the singer who moved to Tahiti 3 years ago. Ayo has drawn new compositions from her environment in the middle of the Pacific, ranging from intimate ballads to rhythmic litanies. Mami Wata is a logbook, testimony to the new birth of a powerful female artist. This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
The CD is very good. I enjoy listing to music from the time I was growing up and while I was in the Air Force.
