One of the greatest of all American jazz singers, Anita O'Day shattered the typical "girl singer" stereotype and presented herself instead as a hip jazz musician, whose skills in improvisation cemented her stature among the pioneers of be-bop and the West Coast "cool" school. Presented here is a classic O'Day album originally recorded in 1977 featuring just a trio as back-up, resulting in an intimate affair that best captures the artistry of this wonderful vocalist. I bought it for the BTS interview and pictures and I am not disappointed! The interviews with each member are thoughtful and good. I only wish I could purchase the special edition 8 magazine set.
Haven't watched it yet; I buy LOTS of movies, and it can be weeks, even months, before I get to this one. I like the main actress, having seen her in 2 other films, and was glad to see she's also in one of the other 2 films I ordered from you. All 3 arrived in EXCELLENT condition!!
