Akasha was the brainchild of New Yorker Phil Valentine of the legendary NY funk outfit High Fashion which was part of producers and funk masters Jacques Petrus and Mauro Malavasi's camp. Featured here is the original 12" version of "Thunder in Your Love" recorded in 1984 for the legendary Street Level label. The New York sessions that produced this single featured players from the popular New York funk band, Change, including Kevin "Crab" Robinson, Timmy Allen and Johnny Kemp. "Thunder in Your Love" has gone on to become a boogie classic and the original 12" vinyl is highly sought after in collector's circles. Also included on this maxi-single is a bonus instrumental, acappella, and club mix. All selections newly remastered.
