A to Z Music presents the Abby & Norm Group's second album, a jazz statement of considerable depth and artistry. The follow-up to the critically acclaimed "The Book of Norman," the new CD features married couple Abby Aronson Zocher and Norm Zocher, both professors of guitar at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. They are joined by pianist Bevan Manson and drummer Brooke Sofferman, plus special guest saxophonist George Garzone from the acclaimed free-bop trio the Fringe. The band excels in displaying several sides of it's jazz personality: acoustic instrumentals, bluesy shuffles, vocal-oriented quartet, cutting-edge, and pop-streaked. Some material was worked out during weekly performances at the legendary Wally's Jazz Cafe in Boston.
