I wanted to write music that is Blues influenced but also incorporates other genres. Sometimes we think of Blues music as melancholy and sad. I see it as a great way to communicate feelings. To me Blues Music is about the celebration of overcoming life's negative experiences and learning to deal with life and enjoy it. I wanted to create songs with upbeat rhythms, witty, humorous lyrics, and a little story with something to think about.
