At the age of fifteen, Houari began singing raï in restaurants and at parties. Particularly attracted to music and singing at an early age, he enrolled at the Oran Conservatory to familiarize himself with musical scales. He then went on to perform his first concerts. Young and ambitious, the wedding parties organized in the city and surrounding villages held no secrets for him. Each time, he was invited to sing with his small orchestra. As his confidence grew, Houari dauphin's reputation and career took off.
